Remove the ring under the cap.
Can I connect the fireplace to the UPS battery?
There is no technical
contraindications to use UPS baterry. Although, the output must be 230 V and
the battery must operate on a Pure sinus wave. The capacity of the UPS
battery will determine how long it can power the device in the event of a
power failure.
Where to order the Bioethanol fuel?
Approved bioethanol fuel is
distributed by Planika: Online Store
, Amazon, Dealers Map
What are the by-products produced during bioethanol burning process?
In Planika’s BEV (Burning
Ethanol Vapors) fireplaces, the bioethanol burning process is carefully
designed to maximize efficiency and minimize harmful emissions. The BEV
technology specifically burns ethanol vapors rather than liquid ethanol,
leading to a more complete combustion process. The by-products are Carbon
Dioxide (CO₂) and Water Vapor
(H₂O). This CO₂ emission is comparable to what humans exhale and is minimal
in well-ventilated rooms.
Is the chimney or flue required for the BEV fireplaces?
There is no chimney or flue
required for the BEV (Burning Ethanol Vapour) technology fireplaces. Thanks
to the BEV technology products are producing minimal carbon dioxide and water
vapor without smoke or harmful fumes.
Are the BEV products safe to use?
Planika’s BEV technology is
designed to provide a safe, clean, and environmentally friendly fire
experience by burning
ethanol vapors rather than liquid ethanol directly. Here are some aspects of
their safety features:1. No Direct Contact with Flame: Planika’s BEV
technology creates flames from burning ethanol vapors, which eliminates the
risk of spillage and uncontrolled burning of liquid ethanol, making it safer
than traditional ethanol fireplaces.2. Automated Control Systems: These
fireplaces often include electronic control systems, which manage the
ignition, flame height, and shutdown process. This automation minimizes user
interaction with the flame and enhances safety.3. Sensors and Safety
Features:CO₂ and Temperature Sensors: Many Planika fireplaces are equipped
with sensors that monitor the carbon dioxide level and temperature. If the
CO₂ level exceeds a safe limit or if there’s an unusual temperature spike,
the system shuts down automatically.Tilt and levelling sensor- a safety
features designed to shut off the fireplace if it is tilted beyond a safe
angle. This prevents accidental fuel spills or fires if the unit is knocked
over or destabilized.Spill-Proof Design: BEV fireplaces are typically
designed to prevent ethanol leaks, reducing the risk of accidental fires
dueto fuel spills.
Does a BEV fireplace produce heat?
Yes, the BEV fireplaces
generating a real fire that produce heat.
Are the BEV products Eco-friendly?
Thanks to the complete
combustion process, fireplaces with BEV (beurning Ethanol Vapours) technology
do not release
any harmful substances into the environment.
Is it possible to replace the remote control?
Yes, the remote control can be
ordered through the service help form (
https://planikafires.com/service-help/ ). After the
new remote is received, the service team must be contacted again by filling
the form, they must remotely pair the remote with the fireplace.
Why there must be a 1/H air exchange?
This is a standard construction
requirement for any habitable space. As the length of the fireplace
increases, so does the amount of re-circulated air, which means a larger air
volume is needed. This ensures that the recirculated air does not lower the overall
air quality in the room within an hour. This is the minimum air exchange
requirement. Increasing the air
exchange rate will further enhance air quality by reducing the
concentration of recirculated air.
How to refuell the BEV fireplace?
The BEV fireplaces are being
refuelled with the automatic fuel pump. The dedicated pump – when connected –
automatically fills up the tank with a bioethanol fuel. Once the tank is
completely filled, the sensor alerts the microprocessor to stop the process.
Where the fuel container is located?
It is located in the storage
compartment below the firebox.
How to replace the empty fuel container?
Unscrew the cap with the pumping
hose and remove the empty container from the holder. Insert a full fuel
container, ensuring the cap is removed beforehand, and carefully place it
into the holder. Once the new container is in position, screw the cap with the
pumping hose back on securely to ensure a proper seal, and check for any
leaks before operating the system.
Fuel tank location in BEV products
The fuel tank for the BEV
fireplaces is located in the product cassette.
