Interview with hans murman
The Swedish landscapes offer not only beautiful panoramas but also many unique designs of buildings and commercial facilities. One of them is Tusen restaurant accomplished by the Swedish architect – Hans Murman from the Murman Architekter design office.
This fantastic building situated between the ski-slopes of the Ramundberget resort is reminiscent of a traditional Sami hut covered with birches. The restaurant located 1000 m above the sea level uses eco-friendly products and contemporary sustainable design such as Planika’s bio fireplace and Totem Commerce.
‘I think ethanol fires are amazing solution for the Scandinavian design at the moment. The clearness and the simplicity of them correspond with the modern houses. In Tusen we wanted as many people as possible to feel the atmosphere around the fire. Our intention was to make an open interior. Thus, bio fireplace was a natural choice.’ – said Hans Murman
